How Microsoft’s AI workforce is shrinking as companies seek automation

As Microsoft’s artificial intelligence workforce shrinks, companies are turning to automation for cheaper labor, according to a report from jobclass.com, an online job search platform.

“The growing importance of artificial intelligence in today’s workforce is clearly showing,” the report reads.

“Many companies are now looking for ways to lower costs and increase efficiency, and the need for AI specialists is no longer limited to a small number of specialists.”

The report also mentions that more than 80 percent of employers in the US are looking for people with at least two years of experience in AI.

Microsoft, Google, Apple and Amazon are all actively investing in AI and have made AI their primary focus for recruiting.
