Laravel 6 was released on October 5, 2018 to mark the 1 year anniversary of Laravel 4.2 and 1 year since Laravel 3.
The version number changes reflect a number of changes.
For instance, the default Laravel version is now 5.3.2, but the old Laravel versions 5.2 (released in 2014) and 5.1 (released two years earlier) were still available.
In addition, a new Laravel security vulnerability was fixed.
A new feature in Laravel, Laravel Composer, has been released.
You can install the latest version by running the following command: # composer update .
You can also install the older Laravel by running: $ composer update –save Laravel5 .
This means that all of Laraonvel 5’s features will still be available.
Laravell’s next release is Laravel 7, which was released in May 2018.
