Bharat Mata ki Jai, the actor-turned-director-turned-“Bollywood” star Dabbabhadra Debnathan has been hired by a software company for a month-and a-half.
Dabbabhit, who plays an engineer in the Bollywood-centric film, is a former film student who has a knack for the visual arts and was previously in the film business.
His work on “Bharatiya Gaon”, the B.R. Aamir film, has earned him an Oscar nomination and the tag-team team of Rahul Kapoor and Piyush Goyal are also in the frame for a film.
He is the son of actress and actor Kishore Kapoor, who has been credited with producing some of the most acclaimed films of the past century.
Dabor, whose first film, “Bhai Bhagat Ki Jahi”, was released in 2005, was a part of the Mumbai-based production house Nirmal Films, which was created by Nirmala Bhattacharya, a former director of Bollywood films like “Shaadi Hai” and “Sajid Mehta”.
Dabbat is also credited with helming “Dabba” which was released last year, a Bollywood film that is being adapted by Bollywood actress Darshan Karan.
Dababhit and his wife, Kisho, who are both natives of Mumbai, started their career as part of a filmmaking duo called Nirmali Productions.
The duo has worked with a range of B-list celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Rajdeep Sardesai, Rishabh Pant, Gopakrishna Gandhi, Praveen Thakur and Prakash Javadekar.
They are also credited for co-writing “Gandhi” with Salman Khan.
Dambakshan is a film director, writer and producer who is also an award-winning actor.
The Bollywood star has also worked with many big names, including Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan and others.
